Boys soccer weightlifting will begin on Monday Jan. 25th at 5:00.
Uniform turn in will be Wed. December 16th at 3:00 at the locker room. We had less than half of the players show 2 weeks ago. After this I will start calling parents and having the school issue fines. Make sure to bring them tomorrow.
Wanted everyone in the Willard Soccer Nation to know that Jackson Patillo made first team All-Ozarks as well as first team All-Region. Congrats to Jackson, he has earned every bit of the recognition he is receiving!
Anyone interested in getting together for a pick up game on Saturday? Let me know by emailing me at timmagee@kw.com
Uniform turn in will be on Tuesday, December 1st (NOT the Tuesday of Thanksgiving!)
JV will turn their uniforms in at 3:00. Varsity will turn theirs in at 3:30.
Bring every part of your uniform and make sure everything is wash.
Those that have not found a club team to play on, the Demise will be having try outs for high school boys. Seniors, if you are interested in playing in college this might be a good try out to go to. If you make the team you will be going to a couple of college showcases. Go to sgfsoccer.com for more details.
We will not be turning in uniforms today. I have had to change it to next week. Keep watching the website for times and dates and I will put announcements in at the high school.
Seniors, please bring the soccer balls you recieved on senior night to the banquet so that you can get them signed by your teammates.
Also, no one bring their uniforms to the banquet. Friday will be the day to turn in uniforms at the locker room. JV will have a specified time and Varsity will have a specified time.
After 3 hours of sleep, I am still at a loss for words. I hope I will be more positive later today but right now its hard so parents bare with me if you will.
I feel like these young men had something stolen from them, something they will never be able to get back – an opportunity. An opportunity to beat a great team like Carthage for the second time; An opportunity to play in the district championship game for the first time in Class 3; An opportunity to win that district championship in Class 3; An opportunity to play in a spotlight game in Springfield against one of the traditional powers; An opportunity to show SW Missouri how far they have brought Willard soccer.
These young men are resilient and will move on, I have no doubt, but in 13 years of coaching soccer I have never felt sicker to my stomach from a game and a call than I do from last nights game. They did everything that was asked of them, they did everything in the manner that was asked of them and they represented themselves, their parents and their school proudly. They deserved better than what they got last night. To the seniors, I am so sorry! You were amazing and I am so proud of you.
