Thats right, we will begin lifting weights on Tuesday Nov. 25th (Tuesday before Thanksgiving) right after school until 4:30. We will then begin after Thanksgiving lifting every Tuesday and Thursday. This is mandatory for Varsity players. JV players, it is up to you if you want to come but know this; there are only 3 spots on varisty open next year - do you want one? Showing up to lift weights will not guarantee that you make varsity but it sure does give you a leg up on the competition.
If for some unexplainable reason a varsity player can not make it, you better call and let me know. We made tremendous strides this year and this is the next step in continuing that trend. Will you work for what you want?

Ladies,
Our season begins on March 2. Our first game is at the end of March. We will have open play beginning in February as soon as I find a place for us to go. I highly encourage you to play some indoor this winter to start getting some touches on the ball. Also, you may not practice with us (March 2) until your physical is on file with the athletic department. If you had one for any reason in the Fall or Winter, you do NOT need a new one.
Please keep checking the website for more information. I look forward to meeting all of you soon.

All soccer players need to turn their jerseys in at the banquet this Thursday. Remember, the shorts and socks are yours to keep, I just need your jerseys.

Words can not express my feelings towards this years team. They have shown more heart, courage and desire than any team I have had the pleasure of coaching. I has truly been an honor to work with such outstanding young men. Tonights 0-1 loss was hard fought and could have gone either way but in the end Joplin got the win. In that win, the Tigers showed that never say die attitude as they fought back. They deserve all the respect they have earned this year and they are champions in my mind. Parlie, Marian and Nick: You have been everything that captains should be and your teammates, as well as I, are very proud of the leadership you have shown this year.

Both JV and Varsity came away with wins on senior night. JV started the night off with a 1-0 win over Rogersville. Varsity led 1-0 at half on a goal by Marian Lup. In the second half Willard was able to put the feisty Rogersville team away with 3 goals for the final score of 4-0. On this senior night all 3 of Willard’s seniors (Nick Garcia, Marian Lup and Parlie Shikany) scored goals for the tigers.
